Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation By Us

Please note that there may be certain orders that we are unable to accept and must cancel. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any order for any reason. Some situations that may result in your order being cancelled shall include limitations on quantities available for purchase, inaccuracies or errors in product or pricing information, problems identified by our credit and fraud avoidance department or any defect regarding the quality of the product. We may also require additional verifications or information before accepting any order. We will contact you if all or any portion of your order is cancelled or if additional information is required to accept your order. If your order is cancelled after your credit card has been charged, the said amount will be reversed back in your Card Account. Any type of voucher used in these orders shall be pushed back into the user’s account in case of cancellation by us.

Cancellation By The Customer

In case of requests for order cancellations we reserve the right to accept or reject requests for order cancellations for any reason. As part of usual business practice, if we receive a cancellation notice and the order has not been processed / approved by us, we shall cancel the order and refund the amount to you (post any credit card processing charges). We will not be able to cancel orders that have already been processed. We have the full right to decide whether an order has been processed or not. The customer agrees not to dispute the decision made by us and accept our decision regarding the cancellation.

Returns & Refunds

To ensure a high level of quality of service we do carefully inspect and record product quality before it leaves our warehouse, however, in case you happen to receive defective/damaged goods or goods that you haven’t ordered, please send us an email at support@chikanbarn.com or call us at +91-522-4074201 within 5 days of delivery of goods to coordinate a return. Please note parcels are specially wrapped and if you receive any damaged package do not accept the same and inform us immediately.

Returns will only be accepted on unworn and unused merchandise and with all original tags and packaging. Post receiving the return our Quality Assurance team will take the final call on whether to approve or reject a return. In case of rejection the complete cost of shipping would be borne by the customer else reasonable courier expenses would be borne by Chikanbarn and reimbursed to customer (scanned receipts of courier will be required to be mailed back in certain cases).

Barring genuine size issues (for unused merchandise) no other exchange or replacement requests would be entertained. However since we maintain limited stock in our inventory and owing to the uniqueness of each chikan item we shall only offer exchange to customers based on the availability of the stock in our / vendor inventory.
The refund amount on a successful return or unsuccessful exchange (owing to non availability of right size) will be credited to customer in the form of discount vouchers. The customer is liable to pay all courier costs for exchange owing to size issues.

For your own protection for agreed returns and exchanges we suggest customers to use a traceable carrier service partner and keep us informed on the tracking number. Any goods/merchandise lost or damaged when send back by the customer will be the responsibility of the customer and we will have no responsibility for the same.
Unfortunately, some items like home décor etc. and those explicitly marked so on the product/item page will not be eligible for return. This policy is only for customers in India and we won’t be able to provide exchange, returns or refunds to our international customers due to prohibitive shipping costs.

No refunds will be given in the following cases:

• Incorrect or outdated delivery address.
• Incorrect address format including any form of a PO Box address.
• After 3 failed delivery attempts by the courier company
• Package refused at recipient address.
• Products returned in a used or damaged condition.
• In case of minor design, colour variations as, with handcraft products, there will always be some variation between products.
